Of bread and "bread"
Why is it whole wheat bread, even that of the most crunchy hearty kind, unless bought from a place such as the Wedge has high fructose corn syrup in it? What possible advantage could this offending ingredient serve? Other than to frustrate me to no end while trying to do a one stop shop at Target to get nails and a loaf of bread, I'm not sure. Good news is, the Wedge has at least 10 varieties of bread sans sugar. And when I get some time, I'll make my own again. It was just a matter of having something to put the homemade peanut butter on for lunch at work.

The other "bread" is that I realized that as of late, I have not spent daily time reading my Bible. I have thought good intentions of doing so, but never really gotten into the rhythm. While reading a particularily inspiring passage on a friends blog today, I was convicted to try again. Having this pressing feeling that unless I could, that I was holding myself back from something wonderful God has for me. That I need to be on the same page as God before this gift can be given fully. Not really sure what the gift could be, though there are some things I hope for (not really things, but things I'd like to happen). But I am compelled. Often when I feel this kind of urgency, I have acted and wonderfulness has unfolded. So I begin tonight to read. Not sure where to start, probably just flip open and see where I land unless something comes to me.

Oh and 2 surprises today (I know, I've stopped blogging about them regularily). I realized I could possibly hit a commission goal at work which would mean unexpected and much needed additional income to the tune of $50-100 or more next paycheck. And while unpacking boxes, I heard a jingle from a rather unexpectedly heavy bag. Inside, I found my coin purse nearly bursting at the seams. $11.72 was the contents. Much of it in quarters which are good for the laundry at my new abode. I may count another surprise... some friends who live far away will be in town to visit next weekend. Hooray!
