Days in the Life of This Girl

Morning has broken

And my favorite season is sticking around a little longer than usual. I love autumn. And in Minnesota, for the past several years, our autumn has been not only the wrong kind of weather, but way to short on days that were autumn-y. This year has been a sheer delight. Some of the days were a bit toasty, but on the whole we have had a plethora of crispy days. And the leaves, so spectacular. The colors popped all at once instead of being spread way out and the first ones all falling off before the most brilliant of the darker colors could appear. Not only that, only a few stormy days to knock them all down so while I drive the streets this weekend, they are still there, naturally falling from the trees in a slow progression and blanketting the world with color. Yes, winter will come. But according to the local forecasters, I have at least a week or two more to enjoy this completely.
