| bonus day off |
Woke up bright and early this morning and darted off to work at the Dinkytown location. Excited for a change of scenery and pace. Got there and realized it was next week I'm to work there. So today is a bonus day off. No plans, just a day stretched out in front of me. Listening to music, washing laundry, baking my jack-o-lantern, editing photos for some friends, printing photos from Halloween, cleaning out the junk mail pile, putting in a call to a friend who wasn't home to see about a bike ride or hike, enjoying the autumn sun while it's here, and contemplating other things to do with my day though I may not do any as I am quite enjoying the relaxation.
This is what Jack looks like baked. The only thing left after cubing him up is to decide what to make with him. Luke's idea of pumpkin soup is sounding really good. And I found a couple promising recipies. If that doesn't use all the pumpkin, maybe some coconut pumpkin bread I found a recipie for.
Tonight might be a good time to make another batch of applesauce too. I ate the remaining jar last night for dinner with some squash. All of this will be after choir rehearsal anyway. |
