Bridge fell down, but we're okay
At about 6pm today, the 35W bridge spanning the Mississippi River fell down into the river. On a normal day, Matt would be on his way home from work and likely on that bridge. Today he was at home having had a commitment at 1pm downtown to attend to. After hearing on the news about the ridge collapse, he and our upstairs neighbor booked it on their bikes down to the scene. Below are a few of the very surreal photos Matt took with my camera (which he grabbed in his quick thinking on the way out the door). There are some pretty incredible photos on the websites of local news channels like KSTP, KMSP, WCCO, and KARE11.

It's still so surreal! All of us are thinking how many times we drove across that bridge.

Powerful photos, Matt. I figured Jenie would have some pics posted but was surprised at the photographer's name. Nice work.
