It's snowing here. Big pillowy flakes that float gracefully to the ground. And I have the whole day off and nothing pressing to accomplish. I really could clean my apartment or find something productive to do, but the snow falling outside makes me want to relax (and if I had a fireplace relax in front of that). It could only be more wonderful if it weren't quite so chilly outside and someone would come play in the winter wonderland with me. Really, I don't kid when I say this is my favorite part of winter. And having a day off makes it more enjoyable.
If there isn't snow where you are, or you get inspired as I did to make some snowflakes of your own, there's a cool online snowflake making site where you get to use a virutal scissors and cut out chunks from your triangle of paper and magically, it becomes a snowflake, just like when you were a kid. And then you can save the flakes to your computer (like I did, only I modified them in photoshop cause they come out dark blue instead of white) or you can email them to friends and family. I could sit for hours cutting them out and soaking in the nostalgia. I just might.
